Nearly There – Our Beautiful Calendar is Nearly a Reality – Thanks to All of You!

Thanks to all of you our beautiful calendar is very nearly a reality.  We have raised £466 of our £500 target and we are optimistic we will reach our target as we still have 5 days to go.

EVERYONE who has donated £14 (or more) will receive a calendar and we can’t wait to see them printed and winging their way to you.  

You can be sure that EVERY calendar printed will raise awareness of our beautiful Lake District and what is at stake should we not stop the biggest development EVER in the UK in its tracks.  All monies raised through the calendar will go towards our Lakes Against Nuclear Dump (LAND) campaign.

Looking from Great Gable, there is an iconic view beloved by millions of locals and visitors to the Lake District alike.  From here your eye leads straight down towards Wastwater and the “Areas of Focus” of  Gosforth, Holmrook and Seascale. Your eyes would linger on mine works and new nuclear sprawl including heavily armed militarised police guarding enormous drift tunnels trundling high level nuclear waste containers down to the coast and under the Irish Sea to a 1000 metre deep and 50km square mined out void half way between the Lake District coast and  the Isle of Man.  The wonder is how there is not a national and international outcry against this unprecedented, uniquely dangerous and wholly experimental plan.
