“Parishes Roar” No Nuke Dump

note: 12th April-2012 – The Whitehaven News editorial was called “Parishes Roar.” This related to the number of Parishes in Cumbria officially voicing their opposition to the nuclear dump plan by “Managing Radioactive Wastes Safely” (now called Nuclear Waste Services). The Editor of the Whitehaven News’ obvious
expectation of national coverage did not materialise – only the very dodgy Ipsos Mori poll results were given national headline news in “Cumbrians Want Nuclear Dump”.

note: The MRWS’ final nail in the coffin was hammered down in 2013 with Cumbria County Council voting no to continuing in the “process.” That should have been an end to it but the nuclear industry is a real (not a romantic) vampire at its black heart and is once again eyeing up its favourite victim or “host” for an even more dangerous and far larger nuclear dump with an even greater degree of stitch up.
